Happy Holidays and best wishes for the upcoming New Year! As we enter 2026, I am truly honored to serve as your President this year and thrilled to lead with the theme: Think Like a Human: Perspective ~ Powers ~ Progress.

I have always been fascinated by people, cultures, and their experiences. It’s the force that shapes our world and the essence of what makes us uniquely human. Every person we meet carries a story, a triumph, and a challenge that shapes who they are inside. To “Think Like a Human” means seeing and valuing that richness, putting people first, listening with your whole heart, and leading with kindness, understanding, and humility. This year, let’s bring people back into our focus, letting care and genuine connection guide how we work, collaborate, and lead.

I invite you to carry this mindset with Austin SHRM and into your daily life, your committee work, and your interactions within our chapter and community. Let’s meet people where they are, lift others up, and nurture relationships that flourish with curiosity, compassion, and care.
